Pumpkins, Leaves, and Apple Cider.....I love Fall

I absolutely love fall. I could hardly wait to get to a pumpkin patch. Because of the weather steadily growing colder here, when we found the weather Friday sunny and nice we jumped on the opportunity to go. We asked our sweet friends Ashley and Denver to come along. Here are the pictures to help tell the story of the day.
Halleis looking so BIG and turning into a little girl!
The farm had animals you could just look at.
This one is for you Grandma Debbie!

Peekaboo!
This is definitely one of Halle's favorite things to do! As she slides down she says, "WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Buds forever! They had a hay ride that took us around the fields.

Being surrounded by TONS of corn here in Iowa, there are plenty of corn mazes. We finally got to venture out in one. This one was quite interesting and not really a maze at all. It was more like a pretty path with periodic breaks that had some freaky "children of the corn" displays.
Halle did not like venturing out in the corn.

Yes, this is exactly what you are thinking. They shot off pumpkins from this "pumpkinator" into an old school bus.
For those of you who have never visited Iowa, there is CORN and SOY BEAN fields ALL over. You can even see corn in the middle of town, ON the golf course, and in your back yard. We've been able to watch the corn stalks grow and mature over the summer. Now it's harvest time!

An afternoon spent with Halle, the Nelsons', hay rides and the pumpkinator is an afternoon well spent for sure.

Whew....There went September!

September has been an incredibly busy month. I apologize for not keeping up to date of stories of our little Halle. I have been getting calls from my family begging for new pictures and updates. Here are just a few tid bits form September.

Who knew that Iowa actually had "hills." Some good friends of ours here in Iowa took us to Back bone National Park for a scenic hike to show us a little more of Iowa. It was beautiful and so refreshing to hike again.

The trail was pretty rocky so Halle got the royal treatment by her chauffeurs.
This handsome guy is Cedar. He is Justin and Deedra's sweet puppy. I love spending time with this pup. He has the best personality.

This is our friends Justin, Deedra, and Cedar. Sweet Family! A true joy to be around.

Cedar likes to help Halle with her ear cleaning. Cedar and Halle are actually really good buds. Cedar provides plenty of entertainment, kissses, and love with Halle while Halle provides plenty of her food.
Yep, he took a dive in the water.
We had an awesome day! Thank you guys!

This is the first full month that Proxy has launched and it has been a good one. We have been so busy trying to get things organized and off the ground running. Dan has been working hard. I have to brag on him and say he is doing a great job. Jesus is good. I have heard the students saying that they look forward to it every week.
Every week we have to transform a multi purpose room in to Proxy. We've finally got alot of the signs done.

Halle is getting so big and is changing everyday. She is growing into a little girl with the cutest spunky personality.

Dan and I celebrated 4 years this past month.
We were able to take a date night. The first in a very long time without out little Halle. It was so wonderful!!!!!! But I loved coming home to this sweet smile.
Hopefully this next month I will stay on top of blogging. Love you all.
