Four Points Ladies Christmas Party

We have an incredible bunch of ladies at Four Points. We had our Christmas party this past weekend and 20 ladies showed up. Everyone brought an appetizer or dessert, a dirty santa gift (which was something from your house that represented something about you), and a gift going out to a needy family. The food was amazing, honestly..the best food I've ever had at a party. It was a night full of laughs, it was truly great!
For the dirty santa game, I thought surely this is a gag game, you find something in your house that represents you, so I decided, with the help of my creative husband, to bring a milk jug with the bottom cut out of it to represent me as an bottomless supply of milk...I feel as though I am ALWAYS nursing Halle. Well turns out mine truly was the worst gift and I felt bad everytime it landed in someone else's hands...really really bad. There were crockpots, fond du sets, recipe books, blankets, and lots more really cool stuff being opened and passed around.

Oh yeah...there was another gift that wasn't everyone's favorite but hilarious...Erin's leotard from Highschool!

Thanksgiving in South Georgia

yes..that's a real live turkey. We spent Thanksgiving in Statesboro, Ga with my Dad and Stepmother. We had the family gathering at my Uncle and Aunt's house this year. Dan and Halle were introduced to the backwoods south Georgia way of doing Thanksgiving.  My Uncle Joey has quite the collection of animals. Along with that turkey running around the yard there were chickens, goats, cats, dogs, rabbits, and the cat fish pond, which once used to be an above the ground pool.  We, of course, had a HUGE COMPETITIVE game of horse shoes going, a cooler full of beer, kids laughing as Uncle Joey was teaching them how to hypnotize chickens, 10 gallons of sweet tea, an oyster roast, and cat neutering by Uncle Joey.  It was awesome!!! I just love going back home. My family is really great, they may be a little country but they are loving, caring, hospitable, and so sweet!  I love all of them so much, I really enjoy all the time I get to spend time with them. It doesn't happen nearly enough. I look forward to the day when Uncle Joey can teach Halle how to hypnotize chickens.

our first Thanksgiving with Halle Grace
"I'm a Daddy's girl" She is getting so strong!
Daddy is so great with Halle, he's taught me so much with her. He is a great Grandpa!
We got to set up the Christmas tree before we left.  Halle really liked the lights.

Finally..3 months + in the making...a blog

I've decided to start a blog to share the incredible moments I get to spend with my absolutely beautiful, sweet baby girl, Halle and wonderful, handsome, loving husband, Dan to all of our dear friends and family. Life is incredibly sweet. Jesus has blessed me with an amazing family. I hope you enjoy!
